Nextel All Star Challenge
...at my place, Saturday night, around 6-ish. Anybody interested?
[UPDATE] Uh... nevermind. No party at my place after all. After talking to T and checking my email, apparently Red's having a party at his place. So I guess now I'm officially inviting everyone to Red's for Amy's birthday party (and the Nextel All Star Challenge).

It is working.
To those who believe that the U.S. troop surge in Iraq is working, here is 'your' evidence that it actually does work. This is just atrocious!!! The main killer of Iraqis and Americans is not included in the Administration's figures!! Just so they can say that without being entirely being deceitful.
This site used to be 'Knight-Ridder' news, until it was bought by McClatchy News. If you want to read some REAL news instead of the slanted reports we get on ANY other news source, then check out this news site. These were the people screaming before the war that the Bush Admin's justification was a bunch of BULLSHIT!!!! But nobody heard them because Bushie Papers like the Washington Post and New York Times bought the BS and printed it. This site lists daily Iraq violence (at least the ones that WERE reported). You will see a lot more violence listed than any other so-called news site.

Because I have a working 360...
I can play Guitar Hero II tonight when I get home. Thank you GameStop in Fuquay for taking my annoying phone calls this week as I tried to time your weekly restocking shipment. They received 4 and still had to fill 3 preorders from last week. Yours truly got the only one available for sale. Time to rock out with my c0ck out.
I can golf as Rick Wasko playing Tiger Woods '07. Now to give him Z's old (well way too young) Turkmani girlfriend's body.
I don't want to kill myself or those around me. T, hang in there.

Albert Einstein once said....
if the bees dissappear, the human race can last only 4 years. Well, the bees are dissappearing. I am sure scientists have already came up with other methods to replace bees? Yes, they have.... but it doesn't work.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour '08 First Look
WOW! The franchise that changed video game golf is doing it again this summer. You can read the full article here, check out the pics, but I'm going to post a few bullet points:
- The new Photo Face feature is the next logical evolution of the character creator, known in Tiger as Game Face. The idea isn't new: take a picture of yourself and upload it on a character model. While we've seen this before with mixed results in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, Tiger 08 takes it to an entirely new level. First you import a front and side photo from the Xbox Live Vision Camera, the Sony Eye Toy or a picture on your PC. Next you simply match up a number of markers with key points on your face, like eyes, nose, lips, ears and chin (a template shows you exactly where to put the points). Finally, hit go and Tiger 08 starts building a brand new character head (rather than wrapping a photo texture around a blank face as in Rainbow Six).
- User-created gameplay took shape in a new challenge system. Let's say you're 300 yards out and stick the ball inches from the pin on the highest difficulty setting. EA has set point values for all of these variables. The longer the shot, the more points you get. The closer to the hole, the more points you get. The higher the difficulty setting, the more points you get. Once you upload the clip and the point value is set, other gamers can download it and try to beat your shot, earning these challenge points along the way.
- We also know that there will be only 15 courses on the PS3 and 360 -- too few, we say. But look for Boston, Westchester, Cog Hill and the rest of the FedEx Cup courses to be included.

here goes nothin'
Double Standard?
ok, what don imus said was stupid. still, i've heard worse, i'm sure even worse than what i've heard has been said. still, i don't think blacks are nearly as oppressed as they used to be. there is going to be bigotry against different people, against jews, and mexicans, and arabs for a long time to come. it's a part of being human. we are afraid of things that are different. we, as a culture are improving bit by bit, generation by generation. in my opinion, this was a spur-of-the-moment bad joke in bad taste.
and the beauty of it, it gives the reverends al sharpton and jesse jackson a reason to jump back into the spotlight. who the hell is al sharpton to demand imus's resignation? he's a reverand, a pastor, someone who should be versed in forgiveness and showing someone the error of their ways, not retaliation and retribution, that's up to his "god" to take care of, but he couldn't make money that way. imus was man enough to go on sharpton's radio show to apologize to his audience (i'm guessing primarily black), and sharpton still asked for his resignation. wtf?! sharpton and jackson aren't civil rights leaders/activists, they are the racial equivalent of ambulance chasers.
there's long been the arguments... what if someone made WET, "white entertainment television" in response to BET, black entertainment television. what if there was an NAAWP in response to the NAACP? i'm sure there are white people that are discriminated against in one way or another that would benefit (bums, white kids in black neighborhoods, etc.). these people do exist.
so... what would happen if someone came out to defend "the white man" against the dangerous ideas (i don't think this guy was joking, being it was C-SPAN) of mr. kamau kambon in this clip? calling for him to be... i don't know, arrested, monitored, followed because of his threatening remark against all white people on the planet. i just don't get it. granted, the situation isn't exactly equal but there is a definite double-standard here.
maybe i'll be the white al sharpton (but with better hair and no need for religious affiliation).
Sad...
Kermit. I actually know the guy who directed/edited/created this video. I don't know who the voice of Kermit is.

"mingos" for a bathrobe?
while at bristol, we went to a place called "the sportsman's club". T talked about it here since he was at home and we didn't have internet at the track. at the bar, we drank, played pool, got our asses generally handed to us by RogerDodger, and met phyllis. phyllis seems to be a local barfly, generally friendly and quite outgoing after she's had a beer or 20. i used to wear bathrobes quite religiously, starting in high school and continuing over to my years in college. fully dressed, then put the robe on. i miss it, actually, so i brought a few to the race.
phyllis wanted to trade my robe for her "mingos". her "mingos" are her flamingo pajama pants she had on under her blue nylon pants. she wanted my robe BAD!! you can see here that she attempted to give me a lap dance to convince me to trade. she'd pulled her nylon pants down in the bar to show everyone. the bartender had to come over at one point and told her not to take her clothes off anymore or she was getting thrown out. it was funny. so, here, for your viewing pleasure... me being "seduced" because of my sexy robe.

B-Town Boyz Make National T.V.
Early Sunday morning, Bristol, Tennessee. BTB'z Chump, JHo, and Slyght (a.k.a. Z) arise from bed to greet the day they've been practicing all week for... race day. All the boozing and drunken nights since Tuesday when they arrived have led up to this. One last day to celebrate NASCAR. One last horrah to send vacation out with a bang. One last opportunity to get shitty drunk before returning to the real world. What better way to face the morning sun than a few brews and a walk to the Jack Daniels tent to start things off real good. I had a couple Jack 'n' Cokes, Z had at least one straight and JHo finished off with a Bloody Mary. The buzz was kickin' in and it was time to get on the move. Z still had some souvenir shopping to do. While walking around the track we encountered the Speed crew's live broadcast of Nascar RaceDay built by the Home Depot. With the crowd already a hundred deep, we stopped to witness the spectacle and catch up on some beer while we were at it. Looming in the very back of the crowd, far away from the camera's eye, JHo was handed something. It wasn't any illegal drugs or religious literature as you might expect, but a huge American flag. "What have we got here?" I thought to myself. To which I answered to myself, "...our best chance to get on T.V." We grabbed the flag and then our cell phones to call friends and family back home to watch for us. After a half-hour or so we had had enough. There was still shopping and drinking to do and we had to be moving on. The question of whether or not we made it on live t.v. weighed heavily on everyones mind. There may be no way to tell. Maybe we just missed out on our only chance to show this world what the B-Town Boyz are really made of! But alas, there's no more worrying. WE DID IT! WE REALLY DID IT!

What about Bob???
Bob Jenkins (born September 4, 1947 in Liberty, Indiana) is a television and radio sports announcer best known for his work at ABC and ESPN calling NASCAR and IndyCar telecasts. He currently teaches announcing at Anderson University (Indiana). [citation needed]
Announcing career
Jenkins was one of the original cornerstone anchors on ESPN when it debuted in 1979, working there as one of the most senior members of the network until 2003. From 1979-1998, Jenkins worked on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network, holding various positions including the backstrech, turn four, and chief announcer from 1990-1998. Jenkins was the television announcer of the Brickyard 400 (now Allstate 400 at the Brickyard) from 1994-2000, and the television announcer of the Indianapolis 500 from 1999-2001.
After being released from ABC/ESPN in 2003, Jenkins joined the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in various roles (track announcer and host of many public relations events, including the Victory Banquet held after the race), had a short stint as an announcer on the Champ Car World Series before being fired by the production company. He then joined Speed Channel; he was one of the anchors of Speed News for a year. Jenkins has also been a contributor to WIBC, Indianapolis sports broadcasts.
In June 2006, Jenkins was released from his contract by Speed Channel; his future broadcasting plans are unknown. According to Jayski's Silly Season Site, in early 2006 Jenkins became the communications director for the Premier Racing Association [1].
In July 2006, he was head announcer of the IMS Radio Network for the United States Grand Prix.
Movie credits
Jenkins also has two movie credits, both from his positions. In order to be realistic, the race announcers in Days of Thunder were the actual ESPN crew, which meant Jenkins was the announcer, as in real-life, and while at Speed Channel in 2005, he was the Speed anchor in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (released August 4, 2006).
His voice was used in the EA Sports NASCAR video game series, from NASCAR 98 to NASCAR 2001.
Jenkins is a cancer survivor and lives in the Indianapolis area with his wife Pam.

NDS and Prick
I missed a very important phone call the other night. T and Chad were trying to recall the rules to a game Chad made up called Prick. The next day T and I brainstormed and put our thoughts together with what T and Chad had recalled the night before. Here's what we've come up with...
Deal out all the cards as evenly as possible to the players.
Cards go as follows:
Number cards = number of drinks
Jacks = 2x the number of the card(s) played
Queens = Kill it and fill it
Kings = 3x the number of the card(s) played
Aces = Reverse the drinks back to the original player
Pairs, Triples, and Quads can be laid together
Jacks and Kings can be laid on any number card(s) and more than one can be played at once.
Play passes to the last player told to drink.
When the first player plays his last card, the remaining players drink their cards.
The best way to show how it's played is with a few examples of gameplay.
Chad lays down two 8's and tells Clint to drink. Clint drinks 16 - 8+8=16.
Clint lays down two 5's and a Jack and tells T to drink. T drinks 20 - (5+5)*2=20.
T lays down a Queen and tells Juddy to drink. Juddy kills remaining beer and gets a new beer. T could NOT play a Jack or King on the Queen.
Juddy lays down a 10, a Jack, and a King and tells Red to drink. Red drinks 60 - 10*2*3=60.
Red lays down four 4's and tells Z to drink. However Z throws an Ace. Red drinks 16 - 4+4+4+4=16.
Z wants revenge and lays down three 7's and tells Red to drink. Red drinks 21 - 7+7+7=21. Suddenly Red is now drunk.
Originally T and I thought red cards meant "give drinks" and black meant "take drinks". The more I thought about it the more I think it went like above. Also since it was brutal to take 20+ drinks routinely, we would do a quick count instead of making people take every drink. So, the person giving the drinks would normally count the drinker down. Of course, at first the counting was slow and as we got drunk the counts sped up. Eventually (usually after two rounds) no one could count and the game broke down.
Out of time for now Sports Fans. Please post additions, deletions, and corrections and let's play next time we all get together.

I Tell You
These People don't even deserve a Sunday for worship. Who in their right mind would give money to keep these real extremists from operating in this country. There is no other group of people who would degrade this country more over the next decade than the U.S. religious right. al-Qaida doesn't hold a candle to the amount of turmoil and hate/fear the 'religious right' has caused (the supposed non-denominational) American over the, say, past 200 years... You think it is the Arabian nations who are controlled by religion.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) -- A sharp difference of opinion over which issues ought to top the political agenda of Christian conservatives spilled out into the open at this week's meeting of the National Association of Evangelicals.
The group rebuffed complaints from some of the religious right's leading lights about the organization's newfound focus on global warming.
The group, which represents 45,000 churches and more than 60 evangelical denominations, took no action on a letter sent by 25 conservative Christian leaders demanding that the organization restrain its Washington policy director, the Rev. Richard Cizik, from putting forward his views on global warming. (Watch how issues divide evangelical group Video)
"We have observed that Cizik and others are using the global warming controversy to shift the emphasis away from the great moral issues of our time, notably the sanctity of human life, the integrity of marriage and the teaching of sexual abstinence and morality to our children," said the letter, which was signed by prominent religious conservatives such as James Dobson, Don Wildmon, Paul Weyrich and Gary Bauer.
Cizik has been outspoken on the global warming issue, saying in a recent documentary that "to harm this world by environmental degradation is an offense against God."
But Dobson and the other signatories of the letter to the National Association of Evangelicals board said evidence supporting global warming was not conclusive and that the organization "lacks the expertise to settle the controversy."
"The issue should be addressed scientifically and not theologically," they said, calling on the group's board to either rein in Cizik or encourage him to resign.
One of the men who signed the letter, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, said global warming was part of a leftist agenda that threatened evangelical unity.
"We're not going to allow third parties to divide evangelicals, and I think that is what is happening in part with the global warming issue," Perkins said.
However, the association board not only stood behind Cizik, but also further broadened the group's agenda with a statement condemning torture, which charged that in pursuing the war on terror, the United States had crossed "boundaries of what is legally and morally permissible."
But one of the board members, the Rev. Paul de Vries, said, "It ought to be God's agenda, not the Republican Party's agenda, that drives us.
"We're actually tired of being represented by people with a very narrow focus," he said. "We want to have a focus as big as God's focus."

Attack Time...
For those of you who may not know, some kid in North Carolina has been able to use Clint's Xbox Gamertag to play online (Since the place the kid bought C's used Xbox did not erase his data before re-selling it). At first, it was annoying, because Clint would be kicked off whenever the kid signed in; Clint had to re-sign back on to kick him out. Now, today, the kid has removed all of us form Clint's friends list. I found a way to still find out that if the kid is on using Clint's profile. I have already sent him a message, and I want all out there who has set up their xbox live internet acct. (via xbox.com) to go to this website to send this kid a message. You will know the kid is on when you see him playing a xbox1 game (he usually plays halo 2). Send him messages constantly.

if you enjoyed the next gen whiteboard i posted about late last year, you'll probably like this experimental computer interface. granted the processor would have to be nuts and the special FX guys gave us a glimpse of this in "minority report", but i would love to have one of these.

NASCAR Drinking Series v5.1
Two races down, and with it, two rounds of NASCAR Drinking Series! For those of you who don't know about NDS (and I don't know why you'd be here), it's a drinking game to play while watching any NASCAR race. There's no real competition (thus no real winners) but just a way for everyone to drink and have fun keeping up with all the rules. NDS was born August 24, 2002 by Chump and Big C of the BTB'z during the August Bristol night race as a way to finish off a quarter keg of Bud Light. The rules were hastily scribbled on paper as a fun way to watch a race. By March the following year, the rules were officially recorded and NDS became a race staple for BTB get-togethers. Four years later, the racing and rules have evolved. I have provided a link to the most current rules, just updated today. They are located above the "links" section to the right and are avaiable as a download in .doc format.

UFL Auction Draft
We are set to draft. Look for the auction to start Wednesday night around 8pm and end Thursday night around the same time. Let me know if anyone has a conflict with this. Later.
This is why I am spreading the info
Never before has a White (i mean, Blood Red) House used it's power and control of information to deceive the American people, and the rest of Earth, in fact. Too bad more Americans don't see the gross abuse of power the Bushites used to bring OUR nation to war. The rest of the world now sees through all the B.S. the admin spouts off. There are some areas of the country (i.e. backwoods hicks and Southern Baptists) who still think Bush is saving us from those 'EYE-RAk-EEZ'. This article sums up the past transgressions and the (i hope hot) future sins of the Bushies. Get them out before they STRIKE again. If ever a time is needed for flushing out the toilets of the shit we have in control of the Executive Branch, it is now. (literally) Life depends on it.
Again, i say read this article to see what goes on in DC why we work longer hours for less pay and less health coverage in an environment that degrades every year paying for gas that rises exponentially.

UFL / SSC Update
I just signed up for the UFL. As you may know, the UFL draft begins 24 hours after the last person signs up. As yet, C and JHo have yet to join. I request that the last person join no later than Thursday evening. I work Tuesday night and Saturday night, and I'd hate to miss the end of the draft. Thank you.
Also, Redness set up the ESPN Stock Car Challenge. Check your email for the link. However, I had a problem signing up. Got the error for a wrong password. If this happens, just copy and paste the whole link into your browser. Redness set up the password with an apostropy (sp?) and some programs don't like that.

UFL
I started the UFL up today. J Ho, Chumpass, C, Redness, and Slyght check your e-mails for league info and password. Slyght, I sent it to your work e-mail. The draft starts immediately after the last person signs up and ends 24 hours later. J Ho has volunteered to sign up last. Everyone else please join as soon as possible so we can start and end the draft at a good time for all. I'll leave it up to someone else to start the Stock Car Challenge on ESPN.

the conservative christian right (more like wrong) politico proves they are unfit to hold office. Again they prove they are the most 'dirty' of them all.

BTB flashback (not in TechniColor)
i was cleaning the basement the other day and stumbled across some pix of the BTBz. so here they are:

Z driving like a maniac, ChumpAss lumberjacking, CoreyB holding the bear up. i thought there was a picture out there of someone doing indecent things to that wooden bear?

loving BigBoy before we became BigBoyz (redness, Z, and CoreyB)

Redness and CoreyB in ChumpAss's driveway (and yes, that is a PEPSI in his hand)

ChumpAss emerges from the Aladdin's Castle wall hole

i think this was my first ATM transaction. look how far i've come. how 'bout that robe? (i just bought a new one the other day)

the straight dope
Former Senator George McGovern wrote a dead-solid 'no spin' actual account of why our nation is what it is now. From the magazine 'the nation'. i think i am gonna subscribe to this publication (i guess i can get more than out of it than playboy and SI combined)

Attention Btown Boyz and blog readers
Erin and I have changed the date of our wedding. Instead of October 20th we are now going with October 13th. The reason we are changing the date is because we want to have the reception at Undo's, but they did not have the 20th available. I'm not aware if anyone has already scheduled time off for the original date. Please let me know if anyone has scheduling conflicts with the new date. Thank you in advance.

This Paragraph Could Be The Precursor...
To World War III. (below is an excerpt from Bush's speech Wednesday night):
"Succeeding in Iraq also requires defending its territorial integrity — and stabilizing the region in the face of the extremist challenge. This begins with addressing Iran and Syria. These two regimes are allowing terrorists and insurgents to use their territory to move in and out of Iraq. Iran is providing material support for attacks on American troops. We will disrupt the attacks on our forces. We will interrupt the flow of support from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and destroy the networks providing advanced weaponry and training to our enemies in Iraq."

Now I've Started...
If that documentary doesn't get you fired up enough, here is a brief description of the "Project for the New American Century", a Neo-Con think tank headed by Rumsfeld, Cheney, 'Scooter' Libby, Wolfowiz, Jeb Bush, and others. Why are we letting these people progress their causes in the name of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Here is Bill Maher talking about PNAC

Must See T.V.
Last night I watched a re-aring of PBS's 'Frontline' which was a documentary on the power struggle between VP DICK Cheney and CIA director George Tenet over the policy post-911. It is an amazing piece of journalism. Bush had no chance against the duo of Cheney & Rumsfeld, even though, at first, Bush wasn't following "The Dark Side" of the cabinet. I found all the parts of the one hour documentary on 'youtube' and here are the links to the video. You really get a good inside look at the power and strong-arming some of those in the administration used to get what 'they' wanted.

Happy B-Day Blog
One year ago the Btown Boyz blog site was created. Twelve months and 5300 views later it chugs right along. By the way, nice work on the new logo at the the top Chumpass. It gives it a kinda superhero look in my opinion.

In case you didn't know
you should know by now: New Years will be at J Ho's place. J Ho will be cooking WINGS (chicken, not the Paul McCarthy band) and Steadman will have some snacks. Please bring the respective sides (CHEEZY POTATOES, etc). BYOB. Euchre games, roulette (for shots), board games, darts, cornhole (not REDNESS), XBOX 360, shocking tanks, and Chump's 'Pirates...' HD DVD (for Z). 8 pm sounds good and even earlier if you want.

pong shots AND rube goldberg
well this video does it. it combines (toward the end) two of my favorite things, crazy ping pong shots and rube goldberg setups (though they aren't very elaborate). and for all those who are counting, this is my first embed. i usually like to link.
later
HEY we got a new graphic up top. did that just happen? hmmm, nice
NYE e-mail
i sent everyone an e-mail with the address i'm staying at and tentatively holding the only NYE party i know of for the BTBZ. check your e-mails for details or e-mail me with any questions, to volunteer for a better venue, or RSVP. i sent the e-mail to red's hotmail account and T's insight, BTVJGJHo's rr, and chumpass's hotmail. not sure if those are still valid accounts, so feel free to forward the message on to anyone who i might not have the correct addy for or anyone you want to come. thanks, hope to see you there.

B-town Bowling?
The Columbus chapter of the B-town Boyz is interested in joining a bowling league, but with everyone's schedule this is the best league I could find:
The Big Wazoo
League bowls on Wednesdays at 9:30 PM
League starts on January 17, 2007 at 9:30 PM
League meeting on January 10, 2007 at 9:30 PM
4 bowlers per team
15 weeks of bowling
$10.00 per week per bowler
2 games of bowling per week
Weekly Computer Stats
Free nursery service
Standing Sheets on the Web
Big party & trophies at the end of the season
This is at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace. The league meeting on the 10th requires one team member to attend, which I have no problem of doing since I live the closest to the lanes. Those interested please let me know as soon as possible so I can get the team signed up. I know this is a late start time for Redness and J Ho, but the 6:00 league wasn't good for the majority.

God always finds a way to punish the sinners
I hope anyone who supports a monster like him dies of cancer.
well you made me do it
ok, since i don't have a place in columbus, i went and rented one. don't get excited, it's not a REAL rental, i reserved a room at a marriott hotel as centrally located as i could figure to the people there.
consider this an invite to the BTBZ, associated significant others and a few friends they might want to bring. jules and i will be in columbus at the hotel from sometime on 29-dec-06 (friday) through 1-jan-07 (monday). if no one is wanting to host a NYE party, let's do it there, at the hotel. there is sofa bed if anyone wants to crash and we might be able to get a rollaway. let's drink, watch TV, i'll have the obligatory porn though it WON'T be playboy as in year's past. we can play cards, get food, yeah, i already said drink. i know it's not a fancy invite. i'll be able to provide some beer and food, please feel free to bring some of your own as well. let's have some fun.
e-mail me if you think you'll wanna be there, and i'll send you the address. if i don't hear from anyone, jules and i will have to fend for ourselves and find a bar or party going on downtown. up to you. i'll be waiting to hear from you.

It's Good to be THE KING
Do yourself a favor. Choke down a Burger King value meal and buy one of the xbox games. I got all three last weekend for my birthday. You can relive BK commericals with Sneak King... surprise hungry people with BK food. I don't see a lot of replay value in this one, but it is freaking funny to watch THE KING bust a move when you pull off a level 3 flourish (flouish = show you put on whilst presenting the BK food). A decent one player game and certainly worth four bucks.
The other two games are Pocketbike Racer and Big Bumpin'. Pocketbike Racer is the clone of MarioKart we've asked for and I think might be a little better. Same premise: race around a track and use weapons to screw with the other racers. About the only differences are you get to play as various BK characters (King, Whopper Jr. and Subservient Chicken aka Big Buckin Chicken) that instead of picking up a random weapon, you have a power meter. Each time you pass between a set of traffic cones, your meter goes up. You have access to different weapons depending on that level. You can also use that power as a nitro boost so you have to choose between that homing missle you've always wanted and extra speed. Plus all characters have the same driving abilities... you can unlock different bikes that perform differently. No more getting stuck with Toad or Princess in multiplayer. Good selection of tracks and game modes (Battle Mode is great). Great player characters. Oh, and yes, you can play over Xbox Live. At four bucks, this is a no brainer. Throw the food away if you have to.
Big Bumpin' is bumper cars on crack cocaine. Several game types and two modes, individual battles and tournament, keep the action fresh. There's good old fashioned bumper battles that take place in BattleBot-like arenas. There's a hot potato version where you try to avoid having the bomb when it goes off. Another mode has you driving to one point to pick up energy and trying to get back to a base to score points. The catch is that the other three drivers are trying to wreck your shit and drain the energy so you get fewer points when and if you can get back to base. There is a mode where you score points by having possession of the puck. The last car to touch the puck scores points for every second the puck is their color. Then there is two on two bumper hockey. This is one of the most addicting games I've ever played in my life. Simple rules. Three minute period. Score more than your opponents. Eric and I played this for two hours last week after a good night of drinking. You can play on the same team or against each other with a computer teammate. All game types can be played on two different courses and the powerups can really change the game. Someone chasing you with the bomb? Grab the speed up and jet across the board. Pick up the super magnet and the puck will try to attach to your back bumper. Scoring a goal becomes ridiculously easy unless they pack their car between you and the puck. All cars and drivers have the same skill, so again, no worries if someone picks The King and the pretty pink car. You can play the tournaments in multiplayer also, so you battle it out across several game types to see who's the best all around player. You can play over Live also. The computer puts up a good fight in almost all games modes except the hot potato version, but the multiplayer is really where it's at. Again, it's four bucks. Insane.
These games all suffer from loading times though. You'll spend a good 30 seconds loading to play 3 minutes of hockey or worse, to play 6 seconds of the demolision derby game as it doesn't take long for 3 of the 4 cars to either get bumped off the stage or drive off the stage. I've only played once or twice over Live, and it seems you have to set up the game each time and join the lobby for that game each time. The music isn't going to win any awards either. Think of a cross between NES and SNES music. Really though, you probably won't notice it, and what do you expect from a game you bought at a fast food restaurant?
If you can't tell, I highly recommend Big Bumpin' and Pocketbike Racer. These are great games simply due to the instant gratification. Perfect when you want to play something but don't want to invest a couple of hours to reach the next level. Also they are great party games. Anyone can pick up a controller and play, even if they may have consumed some adult beverages. Put these on your Christmas list. Your significant other might scoff at buying you a $50 dollar game either because it's $50 or they hate the fact it's a video game, but these are $4 games they will actually like if they give them a try. By the way, each game comes with both Xbox and 360 versions so you can HAVE IT YOUR WAY.

Speaking of Last Weekend...
As per the previous post, T and I were sitting at BW3's watching the Rutgers / WVU game when at the end of regulation, the camera pans to a shot of the crowd. T and I look at each other and in so many words ask, Did that just happen?

Not As Drunk As I Thought
Last night me and Chad were hanging out at BW3's on Morse Road. I kept seeing some stat on the ESPN Bottomline that had something about a team(I thought it was football, but turns out to be basketball) scoring 200 points. Both Chad and the bartender thought I was full of shit, but as it turns out I wasn't. Check it out.

new year's plans?
jules and i are trying to figure out our holidays considering we live in different time zones. so, the question is, do the BTBz have any plans for new year's eve.
i MIGHT be meeting her parents over this break, so odds are i'll be away from B-Town either on my birthyday, christmas, or new years, so she and i need to figure out which will be missed. i think we are kinda leaning towards being on columbus for new year's if anything is going on, and i might meet the parents over my birthday or xmas. reply if anyone knowns anything about any possible shindigginess.
