Big C has finally broke down and purchased Rockband. Quoted as saying "I hate myself for doing it."
Also, this weeks DLC is the NIN pack that I was talking about. It was supposed to be released in the middle of March, but has been moved up to Tuesday.
March of the Pigs
The Collector
The Perfect Drug
All three are master tracks. 160 ms points each or 440 for the pack.
Check it out here.

T this is Serious...
I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record about Chad's Bachelor Party, but there's only 3 weeks until the proposed March 14-16 trip. I was looking at the Quality Inn Suites in Windsor because they seem like the only place with rooms big enough to accomodate up to 7 people without having to get two rooms. For that weekend their rate says $226.61 per night. They have a free shuttle service to the Casino Windsor. Z, do you have any suggestions as to where to stay? Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated since I have no clue on anything up there. Anyone find out on any vacation time needed. I know Red was supposed to see about the time off and C will need to look at time off to fly/drive up to Cbus. We're probably going to have to take 2 vehicles depending on how many people are going. So far the list is Chad, me, C, Red, Juddy, Wasko, and Jackie's bro. I'll drive my jeep, maybe Wasko can take his new ride. It needs a roadtrip. Comment below. Red names are out.
To cross the border you will need:
1. Driver's License
2. Birth Certificate
Check the Crossing Made Easy website if you have any further questions.

Drive, Repeat. Drive, Repeat.
Looks like XboxLive Nation agrees with me, Burnout Paradise has no replay value. I try to get into doing the same thing over and over again, but this Highly Repetitive game just bores me. I should have gone with my gut instinct and not bought it. I have spent more time playing a year-old racing game (Forza 2) than a brand new game.
Forza 2 is a great racin game. The fact that the car selection is so wide is a plus and the authenticity is great (especially with the force feedback wheel i bought just for that game). Even though I've played the game a lot (according to my standards), I can't get enough of it. A lot better than some games I have which is almost a chore to play. I don't get giddy for any of my games (except for a little for Forza 2); it's just a way to keep from being bored when I have nothing else to do (which, these past few weeks, I haven't been very bored).
It (Burnout Paradise) was getting great reviews. Whoever the reviewers were of this game must not have played it more than 6 hours. I don't think I have even logged that much time into it yet and I know the thing just repeats and repeats.
The games are the same, over and over again. Nothing different. The same stuff. No change. No variety. Move on. Do something different. Don't just re-hash the same stuff I did earlier. Get something new. It was a good idea, but Burnout just didn't push the envelope.

Here's a couple of videos that might interest you. Unless you've been living under a rock, living in egypt, or spending way too much time blogging about American Idol you might have heard about a certain game coming out in November.

Cream your pants! GoW 2 Release Announced
Merry Freaking Christmas! Yesterday it was announced that Gears of War 2 will be released this November and apparently is ready for pre-orders now.
How interesting that everyone knew GoW2 was coming soon, but no one seemed to know when. It wasn't even listed in IGN's upcoming releases list.
Personally I can't wait for this game. I would not be surprised if this outsells Halo 3. Normally I'd do a sales pitch for the game here, but it doesn't need one. Release day purchase for sure...

A Night Of Hopefully...
less weird people to watch sing. And by the looks of some of these contestants, I won't need to watch PORN or look at Lindsay Lohan's nude pics. I guess all the girls are sick/pukin'. Sheddin' those last few pounds before live TV? That's the only way some of these chicks will get a vote.

Kristy Lee Cook: Sing 'Amazing Grace' again. And more scenes riding horses. She is a one trick pony (or horse).

The Top 12 Men...
and I don't mean the New York Giants offense and Tom Coughlin. Here is a brief summary of the first episode of American Idol Live Events. Since all these people suck royally, I need to pass the time by creating a blog about the excruciating experience of watching this show. I know what you are saying, "J Ho, how can a male be online for two hours and NOT watch PORN, but I did it!!! I did not look at porn for two straight hours on the computer (except for Lindsay Lohan's pics)So, I am giving a one phrase critique of each male contestant. Note: The photo first, then the name of that person and comment.

David Hernandez: Isn't he with the Yankees?

Chikezie: Chikezie, Breezy, Beautiful, Cover Girl

David Cook: Massive Comb-Over from the back of his neck.

Jason Yeager: Too plain to even comment on.

Robbie Carrico: He's not a 'rocker'

David Archuleta: 36 year old male pedofiles, 40 year old women, 10 year old girls LOVE him.

Danny Noriega: Super-Gay Sanjaya.

Luke Menard: Me-nard's are hurtin' from the boredom.
Colton Berry: (2 options): He want's to be a dentist, and he doesn't want to go back to the 'island of misfit toys' (OR) Bill S. Preston, Esquire

Garrett Haley: This is why this show sucks!!!!

Jason Castro: He's probably got good weed.

Michael Johns: He has probably bought good weed from Jason.
Who's going home? 'Super-Gay Sanjaya' and 'Me-nards'

Oh, Crap!!!
Well, I may have done it. I have the United States House of Representatives looking at my blog site. What will happen to me next?? Will I be followed by 'black choppers'? Will I be audited by the IRS? Will I start hearing a strange 'clicking' sound during my phone conversations?

Whoever he was (there were 2 visits total by the govt.) he sure as hell spent a lot of time on the site.

Betamax vs. VHS for our generation...
The writing's been on the wall for awhile, but I was one of those who thought the Blu-Ray vs. HD-DVD format battle might drag on for another year or so. Wrong. Today Toshiba officially announced "the look and sound of perfect" is dead.
The fact that I got an HD-DVD player for $200 and that most all of the discs could play in a regular DVD player as well was all I needed. I am sad. Here's to you, HD-DVD. I shall be buying all the HD-DVD movies I can at rock bottom prices in your memory.

Dexter on CBS
The Showtime series "Dexter" is now being aired on Sunday Nights at 10pm on CBS. This is, possibly, the best show on TV. I rank it up there with "The Sopranos" in terms of qualtiy, acting, and writing. And much like "The Sopranos" there is a lot of blood and vulgarity. CBS had to do some cutting and editing to get the show by the censors, but I have to say it remained pretty much intact.
If you have never seen the show, the CBS version will get your foot in the door to the greatness that is "Dexter". But if you want to watch the real version, you have to subscribe to Showtime, or find a site that has all the episodes to download.
You do not have to have a rapid$hare account to download, but the free side takes a while to get the episodes to download (you have to wait 2 minutes and can only download one part at a time). Once all 4 parts are downloaded, you need a archive program like winrar to extract the video.
The first episode aired last night, and, if you want to watch it, you can get up to speed before the next episode airs.
Or, if you want to watch the show legally, but on your computer, you can watch it from the CBS website.

sleep at work?
i gotta get me some of these. yeah, you look like you've been flying high on crack-cocaine for the past 72 hours, but passing a "random" drug test is better than getting fired for sleeping on the job, especially if you are an air-traffic controller or surgeon. if you CAN'T pass a "random" drug test, maybe you need to get to a head shop before you try these out. you can click on the picture for more details.

Freestyle with the Rock Band Drum Kit
When I first got Rock Band, I found out quickly that one of the funnest things to do is to freestyle on the drum set before the "drum" part of the song began. I know we've all done it. I mentioned to one of my friends that it would be pretty cool if Rock Band released a patch that would allow you to simply "play" the drums. Well, that day has come, sorta.
Someone has figured it out, however not for XBox360, but the PC. Basically, you download a driver that allows you to use your 360 controller on your PC. Then you download the drum kit software, plug in your Rock Band drums (via USB), and viola. I downloaded and installed the driver and software and let me tell you, it's pretty cool. The software even lets you modify how each drum sounds, so you can play around with different combinations.
If you want to give it a shot, this is the web site with complete information and step-by-step instructions.

UFL and Bracketology... reborn???
As me, T, and Wasko played what can only be described as the most explosive game of GRAW 2 that made you wet your pants laughing ever, we got to talking about the old Bracketology games I did for the Nascar season a few years back. The problem was that it was fairly time consuming each round to generate the bracket, and then it was more time to go through each entry each week and do the results.
However I have been using Access to develop some apps for work during the past two years and recently decided I was going to learn "real" mySQL and one or more other languages to develop web apps (probably .NET as I've heard it is the most secure but that could be incorrect... I don't have much first hand knowledge on that front) to utilize the mySQL database. I would do Bracketology in Access just to get it off the ground (I'm looking at trying to have that ready to go for the 6th race) and then a dry run of UFL later in the year, depending on when I actually get competent. That way we could roll it out for the beginning of 2009.
Or I may get busy and not do any of it. Who knows... but I like to think I'll try to do it anyway.
Back to video games before I take off... it's Late Nite GRAW 2 tonight around 11:00. Bring your Zeus and plenty of grenades... it's gonna be a frag-fest.
God bless The Beer Belly.

Real Eyes Realize Real Lies

Bush alone made 232 of these statements, according to the report.
Here are some samplings:
"Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us." Vice President Dick Cheney -- August 26, 2002.
"The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons, is rebuilding the facilities to make more and, according to the British government, could launch a biological or chemical attack in as little as 45 minutes after the order is given. . . . This regime is seeking a nuclear bomb, and with fissile material could build one within a year." President George W. Bush -- September, 2002.
In July 2002, Donald Rumsfeld had a one-word answer in response to reporters who asked whether Iraq was connected to Al Qaeda terrorists: "Sure." The report adds "An assessment issued that same month by the Defense Intelligence Agency (and confirmed weeks later by CIA Director Tenet) found an absence of "compelling evidence demonstrating direct cooperation between the government of Iraq and Al Qaeda." What's more, an earlier DIA assessment said that "the nature of the regime's relationship with Al Qaeda is unclear.’”
"We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories," Bush -- May 29, 2003 in an interview with Polish TV.
"What we're giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence. I will cite some examples, and these are from human sources," Colin Powell to the United Nations Security Council -- February 5, 2003.

Jackie and I went out to eat Wednesday night at a local pizza place. When we got our bill we noticed something odd on it. We did have a taco pizza, but I don't remember ordering anything even slightly Asian.

There's a change on the horizon
The UFL as we knew it is gone. Everyone say hello to Draft and Play. Biggest changes are an automated draft where you rank the drivers that you want and are assigned them based on availability and we're also going from 6 teams to 8 teams. Also, points will be awarded for finishing position and qualifying position. We'll need a couple more people for the league. I vote for the return of Slingnuts and the addition of Wasko. Both will take the new league as serious as the rest of us. Registration starts tomorrow(Feb 1) at noon. Oh and yes it is free.
Update1: Private leagues are able to do a live draft similar to how we used to bid on drivers. Also, instead of 3 starters and 1 benched driver it is now 4 starters and 2 benched drivers.
Update2: I emailed Nascar.com to see if in fact the UFL was done and to see if it was replaced by Draft and Play. Their response is "The only fantasy games we have this year are the ones listed on the website."

Today is the day
Back in October, I posted about a new GRAW 2 co-op map pack that was to be released. Well after months of delays Ubisoft has finally posted that the pack will be available for download today. Official price has yet to be released, but it is rumored to be either 400 MS points or 800 MS points. More than likely the latter. There is also going to be a "More Guns Pack" released today that is free. The only catch with this is that the new guns can only be used in the single player campaign.
Update: The co-op pack sells for 800 MS points. It is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Also, the "More Guns Pack" can only be used in the Single Player Quick Missions. Here's a list of the new achievements:
Caves (Co-Op) Perfect: 15 points Complete Caves Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.
RR Bridge (Co-Op) Perfect: 15 points Complete Railroad Bridge Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.
Battlefield (Co-Op) Perfect: 15 points Complete Battlefield Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.
Swamp Airfield (Co-Op) Perfect: 15 points Complete Swamp Airfield Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.
Plantation (Co-Op) Perfect: 15 points Complete Plantation Co-op Mission without respawning at default or hard difficulty.
2-Point Swing: 15 points In a CTF match with 5+ players, recover your stolen flag and score in a single run.
From Downtown: 10 points Kill exactly 3 enemies and no teammates with one grenade on a map.
Clever Retort: 10 points In a match, get a grenade kill while you are incapacitated or dead. Minimum 5 players.
Kickin' it old school: 15 points Complete a Co-op Mission without respawning, hard difficulty, and the Drone off.

We're Still Dying...
With all the talk about the economy, stimulus rebate checks, Heath Ledger, and the 'idea' that Bush's "Surge" is working and nobody is dying and nobody has anything to report on the IED's or hostile attacks, nobody is talking about the War In Iraq anymore. Troops are still dying, civilians are still dying, the Bush's Com padres are still making a 'killing' there, and nothing is really being accomplished. If you have read '...the green pill' you will know that we didn't do anything much to increase the "surge" results, the Iraqis are mostly responsible for the decrease in violence.

Don't Forget to Download Undertow
Just a reminder that XBox is giving away Undertow for free, now through Sunday. Go to Marketplace and look for Undertow under the "All Games" category. I'm sure the game will suck (I mean, they are giving it away), but nevertheless, free is free. I guess its got a pretty cool multiplayer, so who know? I'm downloading mine now. Let me know when you've got yours.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: 1.25.08
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I know I said free is free, but don't waste your time downloading this piece of crap. No wonder Microsoft is giving it away. I would feel robbed if I had to lay down even 100 measly Microsoft points for this steaming pile.
Here's my review...
I played the first (tutorial) level last night, and that was enough for me. The synopsis of the game is this... you are living underwater for some reason I could care less about, and the object is to take over the ocean by swimming to and standing in "control points". Its very similar to the territory control game in Halo. The first thing you notice when you start the game are the stunning graphics. I must say this is the ONLY strong point. The underwater level looked amazing, even on my SDTV. But that's what's so odd. The developers spent way too much time building an awesome 3D environment for a 2D game and obviously forgot to include the basics, such as fun. I want to stress that this is a 2D game! Even though it looks 3D and it wouldn't have been too difficult for the designers to make it 3D like we're all used to now, it's as friggin' 2-dimensional as PacMan. There is absolutely no depth to the game at all. I'm talking about strictly x and y axis play. You can swim right and left, and up and down. It's nice to see an X360 game (sic) that can be played on the 8 bit Nintendo. (Okay, okay... I realize it's an "ARCADE" game. But, I mean, give me a break. I want a little better game than this.)
From what I could tell, you are a little, tiny swimming figure and you swim around this board haphazardly shooting other swimming figures. The figures were so small, I couldn't figure out if I was actually hitting the damn things or not. I guess I was because some would explode, and some would just disappear. So while you're shooting these things, there are two numbers at the top of the screen, which I would assume would correspond with your life and your enemy's life. But shooting the enemy or getting shot did little to affect these numbers. And while the object is to take over "control points" to make your enemy lose "tickets," I could only figure out how to take over one "control point" even though the tutorial tells you exactly how to do it. Eventually, after five minutes of randomly shooting things that just don't stop coming, the game ended and I won the round with a bronze medal. Woooo Hoooo! I just wished I knew what the hell I did to win it.
Overall, this game is so bad, it literally made me bleed out of my ass! If you do want to waste your time downloading and playing it, be my guest. Maybe I'm just missing something and you can let me know what the hell is going on. It's ironic that Microsoft is giving this game away because of problems with LIVE, yet to make up for their mistake, they offer this one lousy game for free (maybe another mistake). I think they should have paid US to download this turd of a game.

Theme Muzac
Finally heard the theme muzac tonight... I don't have speakers at work. Anyway that is classic stuff. I can't believe Chump found it.
I need to do a top five list of Dunfee memories soon.

Mass Effect
I just finished Mass Effect and I have to say this is one of the best games I've ever played. Quick background: it's advertised as an RPG slash FPS. Think of it more as a movie where the plot is moved along by shooting bad guys. And that movie is pretty damn awesome. If you ever played Wing Commander III or IV, it reminded me a lot of those games. I played on medium and the FPS wasn't difficult at all, maybe too easy, but you really need to play this game for the story. I understand Halo is an online multiplayer FPS, but the story in Mass Effect makes the Halo story look like a comic book, and a poorly writen one at that. No need to read the crap on IGN to fill in the gaps for Mass Effect. In fact the game keeps a journal for you and alerts you when a new entry has been added... and there's all the detail you could want and then some.
One really new thing is that the achievements you earn can affect your character. For example, if you kill 150 organic enemies, you get a 10% boost to your health on top of the gamerscore points. Register 150 assault rifle kills and the next time you play, your character can use assault rifles no matter what class of character your choose.
And it's only the first part of the trilogy...

Dateline: Dallas, Texas
A Texas museum which teaches creationism is hoping that an auction of a mastodon skull the size of a Volkswagen will fetch enough money to keep the museum owner, Joe Taylor, from going bankrupt. Heritage Auction Galleries estimate the value of the skull at 40,000 years old (though Taylor thinks the skull is 20 years old), and a value of $160,000.
Claims on the museum's Web site include that Noah took dinosaurs aboard his ark. The prevailing scientific wisdom is that humans and dinosaurs missed each other by TENS OF MILLIONS OF YEARS.
Isn't it ironic: THE CREATIONIST MUSEUM GOING EXTINCT!!!!!!

Ideas for Chump's Bachelor Blowout 2008
With Z being in Egypt, Chump has asked me to plan his bachelor party. While talking to Chump on Sat. night we came up with a couple of ideas that I wanted to run by everyone and also get Z's input.
Option #1: Being in Columbus we have the ability to fly a few places using Skybus for around $200 round trip each. An idea we came up with is to fly to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for an extended weekend probably in March. I checked on Skybus's website and they have a flight leaving Columbus on March 7 and returning on March 10 for $220.00 each round trip. $125 to fly out and $95 to fly back. Skybus also flies out of Greensboro, NC so Big C would be able to make the flight from there to Ft. Lauderdale and back for $160.00. While there we can hit up the beach, clubs, and possibly hang with the infamous Jim Johnson, if he would like to put up with the B Town Boyz. I'll leave that up to Chump if he would like to discuss it with Jim.
Option #2: Roadtrip to Windsor, Canada. Windsor is notorious for troublemakers like the B Town Boyz. Plenty of bars, "clubs", and accomodations. Chump and I met a guy from Windsor, who was having a bachelor party in Columbus for one of his buddies, at Frog Bear and Wild Boar on Sat. night. He highly recommends Windsor and suggests going to Leopards and Cheetahs. We do not need passports to drive into Windsor, just north of Hockeytown USA, Detroit. You do need a passport if flying into Canada. Big C could fly into Cbus on Skybus for less than $100 and we could all load up into a vehicle or two and make the drive north. They have a Harrah's Hotel and Casino that might be a good idea for accomodations.
Let me know what you guys think of the two options we came up with or any other suggestions.

GoldenEye might be dead but...
rumor has it that something else is on the horizon. All I can say is "Your face, your ass, what's the difference?"

Hardest Game EVER!
I'm not sure what makes this game better... the fact that it is a blatant rip off of Super Mario or the fact that the programmers made it almost impossibly difficult. The video is like 8 minutes long, but if you have the time, I laughed my ass off at the poor bastard playing it. It's like each time he figured out some crazy obstacle, there was another even-more-ridiculous one waiting.

Dramatic Chipmunk
Well he's not actually a chipmunk, but a prairie dog. I've seen this clip several times on the internet, and I can't get enough of it. It comes from some crazy Japanese kids show. I just love the way that someone put dramatic music to the clip and the expression on the chipmunk / prairie dog's face. There's several more variations, but this is the original (albeit looped for a full minute). Check You Tube for more dramatic chipmunk videos. Below is one of my favorites.

It May Be Dead
From a Gaming Website:
Unfortunately, the reason GoldenEye for XBLA died came down to money. Our source close to Rare said the conversion was a mere two months from completion, but Microsoft and Nintendo couldn't agree on the financial side of things. The point of contention, as our source puts it: would Nintendo receive a one-time fee for the rights to the game, or a continuing cut of the XBLA revenues? The latter seems to make sense for everyone, but apparently it wasn't that easy.
From what we're told, the best way to get this port back on track is to show Microsoft and Nintendo how badly you want it.

B Town Gear?
To the B Town Nation, what do you think of getting some "official" B Town items made? Chump and I have both designed some pretty sweet shirts in the past (LQA and Big C's Haus of Homebrew). I actually thought about doing this for T's bachelor party but alas, I ran out of time. Also, I wanted it to be a collaboration so that everyone had a chance to provide some input and get excited about it, like Chump did with the blog design.
I'll tell you I don't know how much custom crap costs anymore. I did my shirt through zazzle.com in 2004 and it cost me about $25 for a long sleeved t-shirt with a pocket graphic on front and a full back graphic. This time though I was thinking more along the lines of something like a baseball jersey (the game jerseys, not the 3/4 sleeve t-shirts) or a bowling shirt (my first thought for the shirts I never made). Coincidently enough, the new B Town font would look totally groovy on the back of a bowling shirt. Not saying we have to use anything we already have though... just my thoughts. Also was thinking of having it embroidered instead of the dye sublimation printing we had on the t-shirts. Again, not sure of cost or options on that, just a thought. And it doesn't have to be a shirt. I'm sure we could do mugs, hats, panties, and toilet paper if we wanted.
Chump, obviously a lot of the graphic design would go to you in the end, so I guess I'm asking you first if this is something you'd be willing to put some time in. To everyone else, including contributors and readers, is this something we should look at doing? Let us know what you think.

BTBz Blog... New and Improved
Alright... I've been working on the new BTBz blog for about a month, and I've finally uploaded the new template. I hope you enjoy.
The following is a list of the new and improved features:
1. Larger post area - holds more information to make embedding videos and larger pictures flow better with the layout.
2. Transparency - only available for Firefox and IE 7+ users. The post and link background will appear semi-transparent so that you can see through to the background (see #3).
3. Rotating background - a tricky little piece of coding that allows a randomly selected background to be displayed behind the posts and links. Current backgrounds include: Sunburst, Chevy, Bunnies, Tools, Cocktails, Hazard, Circuit, and Dots. Hit refresh on your browser to reload the background.
4. Updated Contributors - complete with profile picture, real name, and B Town title.
5. B Town Boyz Classics - It's just a quick link list (on the left) to some of the best of the BTBz. Thanks to T for suggesting this one.
6. Header change - I updated the header image and font (more groovy, I think) and removed the blog description.
7. Overall layout change - Updated fonts, spacing, layout, etc...
One thing I did leave out were the XBox Live Gamertags. I know T really liked these but they tended to clutter up the left side, and really, does anyone even care about them?
I didn't want to change too much. In fact I kept the basic blog (layout style and colors) exactly the same. Just wanted to modernize it a bit. Gave me something to do.
Let me know what you think. Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you don't like something or if you would like me to add something else.

Never Played It, But...
I remember going down to Athens one Halloween to see everybody crammed in 1 dorm room playing 'Goldeneye' for the N64. I never had a N64 myself, so I never partake d in the action (I only played it for about 5 minutes). But I can still sometimes hear of those times down Athens playing 'Goldeneye' for hours on end, sans studying and homework.
Well those fans of the old Bond game might like THIS.
Well those fans of the old Bond game might like THIS.
It Is A Rebuilding Year But....
This game should not have been this far apart. Sure, the Buckeye's were predicted to lose 4 or 5 games this year and be nowhere near a BCS game this season, but they made it to the national championship. What did they do? Absolutely Nothing!!!!!
Just like last year. They were overpowered by a team that deserved to be there. The real championship should have been USC vs LSU. Those were the best 2 teams in the country bar NONE.
Buckeyes got in because of their name. That name lost a little more credibility this evening. Sure, they are a young team who never expected to be here at the beginning, but they made it; they had a shot at winning, or, at least, keep the game close.
The game falls on 5 plays that determined the outcome of the game. 1 and 2: personal fouls against the Buckeyes that gave LSU their first TD of the game (in the same drive). 3: personal foul on a blocked punt that resulted in a LSU TD. 4: PERSONAL foul on the play after (3) that gave LSU better field position and led to the that TD. 5: every play OSU called (offense and defense). Coaching was the factor in every play this game (obviously) and LSU had the better to all but a few of those decisions.
Just like last championship game, OSU was OUT-COACHED!!!! OSU was on it's heels on D almost every play this game. Even in shotgun w/ 5 wide recievers, OSU didn't know if LSU would run or pass. That takes skill. The coaching kept OSU wondering what they were gonna run every play.
OSU, on the other hand, seemed to play in what LSU defensive plan was. When OSU lined up packed w/ 2 TE's, they ran. When they spread out, they threw. When they threw on first down, they ran on second (and the formation showed it). On third and short (when it might be goood to work the short slant or SOMEBODY over the middle), they went sideline downfield. Boeckman, instead of making quick decisions, paused too much which caused TO's and sacks. Where was the play-calling for short passes? They were around on second down but not for 3rd and short and 4th. Or Boeckman decided to do too much and not take the chance to rifle a pass on a slant and kept it too much. There was too much pressure on him to wait out a play to develop for more than a few seconds. He had to get rid of it sooner. He resorted to a fade pass down the sideline that may have been complete to a receiver against AKRON ,but not LSU. The are TOO FAST. YES SEC SHOWED THEY ARE FASTER THAN BIG TEN.
OSU was OutCoached and outplayed, but more OUTCOACHED!!!!! AGAIN!!!!! THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. I DON'T THINK ANOTHER YEARS EXPERIENCE WILL HELP A TEAM THAT GETS OUTCOACHED IN THE BIG GAME (and i am not talking about 'THE TEAM UP NORTH')

Happy Blogiversary
I just wanted to say "Happy Blogiversary" to all the B Town Boyz. It was two years ago today (12.30.05) that this blog was created. Clint predicted the blog would die out in 10 weeks, and who'da thought it'd last this long? How things have changed... two years ago, the Buckeyes were set to play Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl (btw, final: OSU 34, ND 20), Clint just got an XBOX (not 360) for XMAS, Z was livin' it up in India, and T was preparing for his New Year's Eve performance of "Shake It Off."

Burnout Paradise
releases Jan 22nd. I think it is a more stripped down version of Burnout. I had the previous iteration of Burnout on the 360 and it was great. It had high replay value. All the different variations of the tracks and side games made the game different every level progressed (it wasn't like playing the same boards over and over and over and over and over and over again). I hope it is set for the force feedback steering wheel (all I need is Microsoft to sent me the return box so I can get my steering wheel fixed). Can't wait for it to come out. Gotta go (heading up to Michigan). The Red Wings play at home tomorrow night. Usually the owners take us to a local game if they are at home.
The Snappy Response Theory
I was talking with my friend Nathan (Lodar) last night, and he informed me of a theory he came up with. It didn't have a name, so I'm calling it the Snappy Response Theory. Here goes...
If someone asks you a question or makes a statement, you can respond EVERY TIME with one of the following lines:
1. "That's what she said."
2. "Because you're and idiot."
3. "Sounds like a plan."
Examples:
You: I think I ate too much meat.
Me: That's what she said.
You: Why is the sky blue?
Me: Because you're an idiot.
You: I feel like I'm going to throw up.
Me: Sounds like a plan.

I Need Answers...
As part of the re-design, I need a few answers, specifically from those who view this blog the most (Z, T, Juddy, Clint, and Marie).
1. What browser do you use (including version)?
2. What is your screen resolution?
For example... I use Firefox 2.0.0.11 @ 1280x1024.
Tnank you.

does this sound familiar to anyone?
has no one in the prison system ever watched "the shawshank redemption"? seriously. as much as i hate a man convicted of manslaughter on the loose, if our penal system is THAT retarded, he deserves it. so i'll help out the law enforcement officers... if you want to catch these guys, they are at the warden's bank right now, withdrawing all the warden's bribe money. go get 'em. hurry, the credits are about to roll.
JEEZ!
JEEZ!
more Crysis awesomeness
i can't get enough of this finite model element analysis (FMEA) stuff. i might just have to buy crysis for this reason. i can't believe that since i've been playing video games (maybe 20 years), we've gone from "asteroids" to this. seriously blows my mind.

Thanks for Nothing
Almost a week ago, I left a post that I wanted to re-design the BTBz Blog. I also asked for some input at to what you liked and disliked. I wanted all the BTBz to have the opportunity to have some say in what they wanted. And with the exception of Big C (who basically suggested more boobs), noone has suggested any ideas. So here's another opportunity to give me some input if you even give a shite. If I don't get some feedback this time, I'm going to assume 2 things:
1) You are completed apathetic and don't care what the fukk the site looks like or how it functions.
2) I am the BTB Gawd of web design and whatever I choose to do will be so absolutely perfect that there's no reason to question any decision I make.
Seriously though, I would like some ideas, or at least acknowledgment that you like something and would like to keep it. I'm even open to suggestions from non-BTBz that read the blog and have any ideas. I'm desperate here. I'm begging you.
Thank you.

Satellite Radio
I was one of those people who didn't understand why you'd pay 13 bucks a month to listen to music. Since I got the Trailblazer in August, I've been jonesing to activate the built in XM radio. A few weeks ago I broke down and bought a Pioneer Inno so I could also take it in my office. Long story short, I can now totally understand why you'd pay for this stuff. It's awesome. Here are my top 5 reasons you should consider satellite radio... I HIGHLY recommend you find and listen to these songs.
5. Afroman - Because I Got High
4. Dead Milkmen - Bitchin' Camaro
3. Glenn Tilbrook - [I'm standing here holding the] Genitalia of a Fool
2. Lounge Brigade - Heart Shaped Box (yes, the Nirvana song)
1. Richard Cheese - Rape Me (yes, again, the Nirvana song)
Wait! Not enough for you? Then this song will seal the deal (or creep the shit right out of you, especially if you are about to have a kid).
As heard on XM Kids channel... Uncle Jim - I've Got a Butt

I've never seen these Red vs. Blue videos before, but this one cracks me up. Here they give you a peek at the new maps(Foundry, Standoff, and Rats Nest) available today for 800 MS points on Xbox Live for Halo 3.

New Year's Eve Party
Amy and Alan have asked me to post on the blog that they are having New Year's Eve at their house this year. They also want to have poker that night. All BTBZ's and their significant others are invited.
Future Time Wasters...
Mass Effect is pretty well reviewed. So is Rock Band. This week, NCAA March Madness 2008 comes out (I bought 2007, and it was a good game). I may have to get it. In fact, I will. I haven't purchased a sports game in a LONG TIME. Next week is MX vs. ATV Untamed. Sounds cool. I will have to check out the review of the game.
Well. Gotta Go. Been out drinkin for NFL Games. Stared at a TV too long already.

Does Anybody Recognize This Person?
I came across this picture by accident and damn-near lost my frickin' mind! Can anybody guess who the person in this picture is? I'll give you a hint... this person graduated from BHS in 1996, left B-Town to go to school in Cleveland, and once dated a 15-year-old Turkmeni prostitute. Any guesses?

B-Town Boyz Redesign
I've been throwing this idea around for a while and I'm interested to hear what you all think. I'm going to start re-designing the B-Town Boyz blog site. Not a complete re-design, but just an overhaul. I like the original design, but it's getting old and tired. Plus, I've been reading a book called "CSS Mastery" which has really given me some great ideas to add to the site. (If you don't know, CSS is a way to program styles, such as layout, tables, pics, etc..., into web pages and do some really neat things. CSS basically extends HTML from a strictly design point-of-view. If you've ever seen the back-end of Blogger, the whole set-up is purely CSS based.) Anyway, I think I'm going to start working on the updated site fairly soon, between work, sleep, and Halo.
Please give me some suggestions as to what you would all like to see. This is OUR blog and I really want input from everybody. If you don't know what you want, at least let me know what you like and don't like about the current blog. Let me know if you like the current layout (main content on the left and sidebar on the right) and what you think about the colors, logos, etc.
I already have a few changes in mind. First of all, I'm going to fix the bug that forces the right sidebar to jump to the bottom of the main content section if someone posts a video over 400 pixels wide. And I'd also like to change the link and post graphics (the arrows to the left of the link text and the arrowhead to the left of the post titles).
That's about it for now, I'll keep everyone updated with the progress and hopefully we'll have it ready to go by January. Be sure to post your suggestions and comments so I have somewhere to start from. Thanks.

A n00b to pwn...
Guys, in about 9 1/2 months, we're going to have someone else to play Xbox with. We found out Monday that Amy is pregnant. I just hope it's mine... Either way, I am going to start laying the extra controller on her stomach so it can get used to the button layout as soon as possible.
First real Dr. appointment is next Thursday so we'll get an ETA then. I'll keep you posted.

This Game Should Be Good
I owned the original Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox, and it was, perhaps, the best game for that system. It was one of the only original Xbox games I still played on the 360. I can't wait for this sequel to be released (I sold the original one). The action and gameplay and originality will be top-flight, for sure. Day one purchase for me definitely.

On a Lighter Note...
Monday, December 03, 2007
Wow...
WTF is going on with this blog?
OK, there's this thing called the Internet. On this thing called the Internet, people often exercise their freedom of speech. Amazingly enough I nor anyone I know have been visited by Bush's stormtroopers yet. I digress. One might even create a web log (or "blog" if you will) on this Internet. These "blogs" are typically set up so that one or several folks with related interests and ideas (I hear they are called "friends") can share these ideas and common interests. In fact, this text has been posted on a "blog" set up by my "friends". Now the funny thing about these blogs is that anyone can read them, but they must type in a Uniform Resource Locator (URL for short) to view the content. This means no one is subject to content of "blogs" unless they type in a URL. This also means that while this "blog" was set up and intended for only a group of "friends" (BTBZ), it is viewed by others as well. Let's go back to the URL for one second. Unless I type in the URL, I cannot view the content and therefore cannot be offended by it. If I am frequently offended by the content posted at a particular URL, I probably shouldn't visit the site going forward.
However, there's a bigger issue with this situation. This isn't a random blog that is being visited. This is the BTBZ blog. I have no personal problem with the anti-everything posts that go up. In fact some of my own posts make the frequent shitting all over God and religion that occurs here look almost acceptable, but only because they were about shit, and they were about my shit, which can be nasty. But I can tell you I don't read a damn one of the anti-Bush, etc. etc. posts I'm damn sure not going to take up arms and try to kill God because of them. I'm not even going to vote. I have a wife who does that. If you want to change the world, posting a three page tirade on Bush, Catholism, and Jesus Christ isn't doing shit and won't ever do shit. Go start a rally. Volunteer for a campaign. Write your fucking congressional representative. I simply don't care about anyone's political or religious views. Your politics and religion or lack thereof are not why I like you people 90% of the time. Posting these rants on a blog, especially this one, with is about as useless as playing Halo 3, Forza 2, GRAW 2, Guitar Hero 3, or Ace Combat 6.
We're not children anymore. Offended? Don't visit the site. Want to make policy? Run for Congress or President. The BTBZ blog isn't anywhere near that powerful folks.
At the very least create a new blog so you don't piss off a "friend".

I got an hour to kill
To clear a few things up:
1. I'm not mad at anyone, I'm not avoiding anyone, nor do I consider anyone to be a dissenter.
2. I have no problem with anything that people post on this blog. That was the reason the blog was created.
3. I have no problem with the topics that are discussed in public by anyone I know.
4. I do have a problem when someone discusses something so much that another person may feel like they are being attacked for what they believe. Especially when the person that feels like they're being attacked is a person I love. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Leave it that way.
5. Check out this cool Halo 3 screenshot of me and C severing some guy's arms.

crysis mass phsyics demo
man, this physics demo looks amazing. the plane flying through the boxes may have been a bit much, but other than that... WOW! i don't even know what crysis is about but with this kind of game control, it's gotta be cool.

Because There's More...
than first-person shooters, I got bored with the same game and purchased some new Xbox 360 games. I picked up the venerable Guitar Hero III (Chad, I am ready for some co-op). Also, I will be having my Ace Combat 6 game with Flight Bundle delivered to my door tomorrow. Can't wait to mess with this new peripheral (since my steering wheel is broke awaiting my shipping carton). That is what HD gaming is all about: realistic simulation with accessories that put you in the action.
We're Going to THE GAME!
...with help from both the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Oklahoma Sooners.
I recorded this clip from the Pitt, WVU game. This is taken right after Pitt scored their final touchdown and are about to kick the extra point. Listen to the commentator during the crowd shot as the little boy drops his "New Orleans" sign. I laughed my ass off and HAD to post this. I hope everybody else can appreciate it too.

holy frickin' bluetooth
man, i really might have to get a macbook, or something or other and learn linux or something or other. i always had a feeling something like this could be done. actually when i was at the hotel bar last week, i recorded the awful country song renditions the guy was playing with my phone. i then searched for other bluetooth phones in the area, tried to connect (using '0000'), and seemingly connected to several other persons' phones. i sent them the recording to remind them to never go back to that bar again since that same fellow plays mondays, tuesdays, and thursdays. i'm not sure if it worked, but it said it transferred.
this guy goes one step further, how cool would that be? man i wanna learn this. FUKK THE SYSTEM!!!
