Schedule some time out of your Comfest day...
to attend Erin's b-day party at the Lodge Bar this Saturday from 7pm to 9pm. Erin's b-day was yesterday(the 23rd) but since we were at the OBX all last week we were unable to celebrate it last weekend. Everyone is invited to join in on the $1.50 pitchers, 1/2 price appetizers, and other specials. I think we are going to head to Comfest before we hit the Lodge Bar. Hope to see you there.

NASCAR 09 DOT Download
For anyone who wants to download and install my Days of Thunder car pack for NASCAR 09, here is the zip archive for all 5 cars.
It's up to you to go to the NASCAR 09 web page and figure out how to upload into your game. I've been trying to upload my cars to my EA locker for three days now with absolutely no success. I've all but given up on trying. If anyone has any luck let me know, and I'll just copy them from your EA locker.
Enjoy.

Check Your Credit Report.
This is a good time of year to check your credit report. You better see how much shit is inaccurate. Studies have shown 90% of American's reports are inaccurate. Intentionally. To make sure credit companies can charge higher interest rates. I, for one, have been fighting inaccuracies for 2 years. They have me living in Pataskala when I lived at the pagoda. I've sent them numerous reports saying it's wrong. What did they do...nothing.

did you hear of the new credit card? it borrows against your pension, so when you can't make the payments anymore, they hit your pension.

WTF Draft & Play?
I may be the only one left in our league who regularly checks the Draft and Play on Nascar.com. After the race on Sunday, I thought for sure that Z had beaten me. On Monday, I went to check the site and found out that I had won. At the time they didn't have the points updated, but the records were up to date. I did some number crunching(mmm do the math) and calculated that I had beaten Z 496 to 490. I proceeded to check the league on Tuesday and they changed it to me losing and Z winning. I looked closer and figured out that since Kyle Busch had to move to the back of the pack at the beginning of the race he only received 2 points for qualifying rather than the 34 points he originally had. It said that Z had beaten me 496 to 470. Well today(Wednesday) I look and they changed it back to me winning 496 to 490. They must have ruled that Kyle got to keep the 34 points that he originally received eventhough he had to move to the back of the pack. Draft and Play has alot of bugs to work out. Should have kept the UFL the way that it was.

Rubbin's Racin'
Well, apparently I was misinformed that NASCAR 09 was being released today. In reality it's tomorrow, so I'll have to wait another day to pick up my game. In the mean time I finalized a few more car designs. Below is the complete Days of Thunder COT pack.

Two More Designs for NASCAR 09
Let me know if anyone else picks up NASCAR 09, and I'll upload my designs so we all (BTBz) can race 'em.
G-Funk! Where Rhythm is Life and Life is Rhythm!
(AP)Rapper Warren G was arrested Sunday on a drug-related charge after police pulled over the car he was riding in.
The 35-year-old rap artist, whose real name is Warren Griffin III, was arrested shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Hollywood after the car he was a passenger in was pulled over for a red light violation, police said. Marijuana was found inside the vehicle, said police Officer Karen Smith.
Both Griffin and the driver, Ryan Butler, were booked for investigation of possession of a controlled substance. They each posted $20,000 bail and were released.
Attempts to reach Griffin or a representative Sunday night were unsuccessful.
Griffin was nominated for a Grammy in 1995. He also was arrested in 1996 for carrying a loaded assault weapon in his truck.

What I Do For My Wife
Here is my position at Best Buy as I stood in line today to get the Nintendo Wii. After 90 minutes of waiting, I got my Nintendo Wii, as well as Wii Fit, and 360's Ninja Gaiden II. When my wife wants something, she will get it. But I didn't want to wake up this morning to stand in line anywhere; I got a lot to do today.
I got to set this stuff up now, reprogram my remote to work with it, get my hair cut, shave, go out to dinner downtown, and go see Dave Attell tonight. Busy Busy Busy.
NASCAR 09 Available Tuesday
I personally am VERY excited about EA's newest installment of their NASCAR game. Why? NASCAR 09 is offering a unique feature in this year's game that has not been in a game not offered for PC. The "Paint Booth" feature will allow gamers to create their own exclusive paint scheme, upload it to EA, then import it into the console game. This is truly incredible because until now, if you wanted to customize a car (or character, or really anything) in a console game, you had to use their in-game editing tools, which were limited in their abilities at best. If you've ever tried to design a unique car in FORZA, you know what I mean. What EA did this time around is allow gamers like me the ability to use professional programs like Photoshop with infinite design possibilities from the internet (like sponsor logos, pictures, etc...) to design your car, then put it in your game.
I'm not sure whether I'm more excited to play the game, or just to design cars to show-off. I remember a few years ago Papyrus had a PC NASCAR game called Nascar Racing 03. You could customize the car paint-schemes in that game like you can in EA's NASCAR 09. I think I spent more time perfecting my designs for that game than I did actually playing it.
So I've already finished one design. You can pre-view it below. The first pic is the layout that would be designed in Photoshop (EA provides a template to make this easier). The second pic is the 3D view of the car.
For more information, you can check out EA Sports NASCAR 09 web site.

Bush vs. Financial Institutions...Part I
loan to value...a loan that is given to Americans which appraise the value of a home, that once completed, has a value that what it would sell for, at that time. The same accounting technique used by Enron. It's a very ingenious way to get people to keep building. If the interest rate goes up, most people, wealthy or not, will not be able to afford the house they are building anymore. What a gamble.
Credit Card fees have gone up 160% over the past 5 years. Consumer lending is OBSCENELY PROFITABLE. The average American has over $9,200/year in credit card debt and $1,300/year in interest payments. It used to be $15 late payment and over limit fees; now it is upwards of $45 fees. $45 if you are late; $45 if you are over the limit; $90 in fees before you even do anything. And your interest rate is gonna go from 21.9% to 28.9%. SO THEY WANT YOU TO BE LATE!
SELL! SELL! SELL! ABS! ALWAYS BE SELLING!
The number 1 qualification for working at a bank is suggestive selling experience.
Debt buying is the fastest growing industry in America. Last year, investors bought $75 billion of bad debt alone.
We are gullible. We see names like "Bank of America" and Bank This and Bank That that the layman says, "gosh, they are not gonna take advantage of me." Too bad it is just the opposite.
But you say, "why don't they want people to make payments? don't they want the money?" no! They will make money even if they don't pay. how? you ask. A person stops making payments. After 6 months, Federal Laws says that the creditor gets to charge off the non-payment debt. That means they get to charge a card all the late fees, for those 180 days, before they ding your credit report. They "charge off" hundreds, even thousands of dollars, off more of the profit/loss, or PNL, before it hits your report. They will make money off of that because they will, in turn, sell that debt to those bad debt investors.
I will now tell you about a company called PROVIDIAN. Providian Financial intentionally HELD BACK checks until they posted LATE. They even shredded checks. In 2001-2002, Providian paid $400 million to settle charges it defrauded its customers. This was just one of many CORPORATE FRAUDS INSTITUTED ON ON THE AVERAGE AMERICAN.
This prompted President Bush (the current one) to create a judicial task force to go after this corporate greed. Two years after the Providian settlement, President Bush appoints an ethics "czar" to clean up corporate America...

Bush: A True Chr....I mean American
The Washington Post points out that in the hubbub of the McClellan book, another scathing memoir has come out exposing the TRUTH behind Iraq.
Getting lost in the media furor over McClellan's memoir is the new autobiography of retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez, the onetime commander of U.S. troops in Iraq, who is scathing in his assessment that the Bush administration "led America into a strategic blunder of historic proportions."
Among the anecdotes in "Wiser in Battle: A Soldier's Story" is an arresting portrait of Bush after four contractors were killed in Fallujah in 2004, triggering a fierce U.S. response that was reportedly egged on by the president.
During a videoconference with his national security team and generals, Sanchez writes, Bush launched into what he described as a "confused" pep talk:
"Kick ass!" he quotes the president as saying. "If somebody tries to stop the march to democracy, we will seek them out and kill them! We must be tougher than hell! This Vietnam stuff, this is not even close. It is a mind-set. We can't send that message. It's an excuse to prepare us for withdrawal."
"There is a series of moments and this is one of them. Our will is being tested, but we are resolute. We have a better way. Stay strong! Stay the course! Kill them! Be confident! Prevail! We are going to wipe them out! We are not blinking!"
A White House spokesman had no comment.

We Are Blackmailing Them?
All throughout Bush's regime, we have heard of Iraq's wanting us to remain in Iraq (and keep those 50 plus U.S. bases operational until the end of time - Biblical Apocalypse ha ha). It turns out Iraq really doesn't want us there. But they are being blackmailed by the Bush Administration into keeping us there. Here's the deal: Through lawsuits (the U.S.'s greatest strength) the U.S. courts have awarded the U.S. 20 billion dollars over the past few years; but the Bush Admin has put a hold on any payments by Iraq; and the Bush Admin has said they would end that protection if the Iraqi's deny any base building in Iraq; and there is 50 billion dollars of Iraqi assets in the U.S. Treasury; it would be very easy for the federal courts to take that money.
Blackmail: another sin committed by that Christian hypocrite.

You Vote For A Christian Meathead....
you're responsible for the mess.
addendum:
o the housing crisis has nothing to do with the Conservative idea of loosening regulation of the banking market? You learn one thing when letting banks/businesses run free, or deregulated: they will lie cheat and steal to make a buck.
like blocking any legislation during the Clinton Admin to increas oversight of Terrorist money laundering through U.S. banks (the right wing prevented the Federal Government from finding Terrorist money because the banks were making too much money off of it) how hypocritical. Repub Sen Phil Gramm called it a "totalitarian" incursion. Before he retired from the Senate in 2002, he wrote the Gramm-Bliley bill, an act broadly deregulating the financial industry -- and now blamed by many economists for the epidemic of speculation and fraud that has shaken the global economy.
Where is Phil Gramm now? John McCain's economic chair. Since 2002, he has been paid by UBS to lobby for the banking industry. So when people like McCain and Bush say they are drafting legislation to help Americans with the housing problems (i mean disaster), the people who are drafting it are the ones responsible for the deregulation that gave these lenders carte blanche (that means: complete authority) to do whatever the fuck they wanted, with no federal oversight. That is where President Meathead comes in: his administration looked the other way. They are paid by those industries to get elected, they do their bidding.
what does the Conservative media say: it's the borrower's fault for being in debt. so buying a big screen t.v. was the problem. Oh, that keeps it simple. keeps the citizen from really examining the true problem. blaming the borrower is like "she deserved it because she wore that short skirt". Sure we dress like a whore, but that is not justification for rape. lawyer talk: blame the victim. see also: O.J. Simpson Trial, Kobe Bryant Trial, and the trial in that Jodie Foster movie when she was young where she was raped on that pinball machine.
new rule: mortgage lenders should have to put up their own personal money when they make these deals. they don't; they use other's money. maybe they will treat money with more respect then. but all they care about is their commission for making these big, complex adjustable rate mortgages.
isn't funny that during the time when the "economic stimulus package" checks were dispersed, food and gas prices spiked?
what about the lender? well, J.P. Morgan Chase purchased Bear Stearns, a large financial institution with substantial mortgage-backed securities investments that had recently plunged in value. the bigger fish will scoop up the little fish (at a cheaper rate) and the money will still flow UPriver.
see also: Enron, Keating 5.
also, Bush + Bush = Bush
Christian + Meathead = Christian Meathead
simple math, just like the "simple math" done by Enron. Any way to make a dollar (or make people think you are making a dollar)
i am in no part of that crooked industry; that's why I am going to heaven.
