A Toast

We all need to raise a glass to Mr. Robert Brooks. He was a great man who did a lot to progress huMANity. His legacy still carries on, but I still have a tear in my eye. I might need to make a pilgrimage to his 'mecca' again real soon. A TOAST!!!!

Tis a sad day for all mankind. I shall honor him and his company on a Wednesday night very soon. Fear not, Mr. Brooks would want all of us to continue to stuff our faces with his wings(from which I may one day die) as well as his buxom waitresses(from which I may one day die).

Hmmm... I was really curious as to which one of you germs would post about Mr. Brooks demise. Guess we will now see in what order you all pay tribute -and how!! BLESS YOUR LITTLE HEARTS!!!

As quoted in the Yahoo News article... "Good food, cold beer and pretty girls never go out of style," he told Fortune magazine in 2003.

While that is true, Hooters unfortunately only subscribed to 2 of Robert Brooks 3 pillars of success. You can't deny that Hooters had pretty girls. And the beer was certainly cool enough for me. However, where does he get off assuming that the food was good? Granted, most of the times I've been there, I've only gotten the wings. Admittingly, I'm not real familiar with the rest of the "fine food" on their menu. However, they are known for their wings. And as anyone can attest, their wings were not the best, not even close. 1. They were very small and didn't have much meat on them. 2. Their "hot" sauce just barely qualified as something spicier than ice cream. 3. Their wings were so bathed in grease that I had to race home with stomach cramps so I could spend the rest of the night on the toilet.

Nevertheless, I will raise my glass to you, Mr. Robert Brooks, and salute you for your creativity and insight. Anyone can serve beer and shit-tay wings. But you, sir, found a way to make us come back for more, even though we knew our stomach and arse-hole would pay for it. Throw in well-endowed, scantily clad girls, and no red-blooded American male can resist. Here's to you, you sonofabitch! Cheers.

At first, I wasn't a Hooter's wings fan, but, I became more and more a fan over the years. I didn't like the breading at first, but now i like them because they are original. bw's wings are skinny and smaller than hooter's wings, but each are good in it's own way. Hooter's fish sandwich is good (but watch out for boiling hot water shooting out of it), too, and the steak sandwich. I still haven't tried the crab legs yet, but i will try them soon.

I recommend the spicy chicken sandwhich. Combo that with the cheese fries for a good meal.
