Rich Didn't Take Long...

to do another stupid thing and piss off Michigan Alumni. This time he broke Michigan Tradition (the longest, most successful college football program) of giving the jersey number "1" to a standout wide receiver. This tradition dated back to Anthony Carter. A tradition that inspired Braylon Edwards to create a half a million dollar scholarship. That number is an honor for wide-outs at Michigan, that is, until Rich Rodriguez decides to give the number to a freshman defensive back.

Either he doesn't care or didn't know about this very important designation; either way he is dismantling the tradition of Michigan Football. He is ignoring the past and installing his own brand to the team. It is another big mistake.

And...
Quoting Notre Dame's Head Coach Charlie Weis, "I have always been one to never make excuses and not go about airing it. We're going to start on September 6 with San Diego State. I think that the first opportunity we're really gonna have to make a statement is that day. And then we'll listen to Michigan have all their excuses as they come running in and saying how they have a new coaching staff and there's changes. To hell with Michigan!"
