Dateline: Dallas, Texas

A Texas museum which teaches creationism is hoping that an auction of a mastodon skull the size of a Volkswagen will fetch enough money to keep the museum owner, Joe Taylor, from going bankrupt. Heritage Auction Galleries estimate the value of the skull at 40,000 years old (though Taylor thinks the skull is 20 years old), and a value of $160,000.

Claims on the museum's Web site include that Noah took dinosaurs aboard his ark. The prevailing scientific wisdom is that humans and dinosaurs missed each other by TENS OF MILLIONS OF YEARS.

Isn't it ironic: THE CREATIONIST MUSEUM GOING EXTINCT!!!!!!
